(21.7.08 21:55) Well, just come back from the first meeting of the Lewisham Central local assembly and I thought it went rather well. About 60 residents took part and had a pretty thorough discussion of local issues, which pretty much focussed on safety issues, and the need for more cultural activity and activity for young people. And a bakers' dozen of people put themselves forward for the co-ordinating committee which will prepare the next assembly, which will be at the same time and place on 14 October 2008.
